EGO: Multisport takes you places

Multisport can take you to some amazing places, that's one of its appeals. Yes, living a fit and healthy lifestyle while enjoying the outdoors is what it's all about but it's taken to the next level when you can have all this fun in amazing locations. Right now Go Multi's Deon Braun is in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, preparing for the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon which takes place on Saturday, 12 March. He will be competing and also covering it for a not-to-be-missed feature in our May/June issue. You can follow all the latest updates via twitter @gomulti. Good luck Deon!

Our latest issue (Vol 15.1) hit the shelves on Monday 7 March. In your multisport fix you will find a feature on Reunion's Grand Raid - Diagonal of Fools, one of the top trail runs in the world. You'll also learn how to get the correct tri-bar position, learn how to ace Ironman transition, see all the latest road and trail running shoes in our 2011 shoe guide, and get a comical inside look at the Totalsports Challenge. There is also a chance to win one of 10 pairs of Hi-Tec's new V-Lite Infinity trail shoes worth R1,099 if you subscribe for one or two years.

This and loads more in the March/April issue of Go Multi.

Duathlon goes big in Jozi:
South Africa's mega duathlon series, the R300,000 Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon Series, kicked off at the end of February at the Waterfall Country Estate in Johannesburg, a new venue in the series. You can read what went down on the day and take a look at some pics on our Facebook page.

Follow Ian Little and his platoon as they get fit at the Hi-Tec Boot Camp at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa in Cape Town.

Want to improve your transitions? See our need-to-know tips for the Totalsports Challenge. These can be applied to other multisport long-distance multisport races, helping make it go a lot smoother and saving you time.

News:
Kevin Evans is back in top form after his operation, winning the inaugural Columbia Grape Escape in Cape Town on Sunday. The three-day stage race looks set to become a popular fixture in the future.

A team being championed by Momentum Health Trustee, Francois Swanepoel, will attempt to ride this Sunday's Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour in Cape Town twice to raise funds for a Hillbrow Children’s Home. Momentum staffer, Carel Bosman, as well as Advocate Allen Liversage will make up the energetic trio.

New stage trail run:
The FOREST Trail Run = 100km, 17-19 June, Garden Route, George to Knysna Forest
