The Western Cape round of the R300,000 Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon Series took place last Sunday at the Zevenwacht Wine Estate near Stellenbosch. When we said this offroad round was a mountain biking paradise and competitors could expect some challenging climbs and descents, we weren't kidding. Duathletes were treated to a stunning course taking them high up into the vineyards.

Bookazine: South Africa's first triathlon bookazine, Beginner's Guide to Triathlon will be on shelves on Monday, 23 May.

Kiuru competed in Kona for 12 years, and is perhaps best known as the first person to seriously jeopardise the American dominance of the sport up until 1994. www.lavamagazine.com
